Describe your company in 3 words.
Innovative Meaningful Work

What is something unexpected you have experienced or learned at your company?
The more challenging the task, the more fulfilling the outcome can feel!

What inspires you at work?
GCOM’s company mission is to enable governments’ efforts to ensure safer, healthier, and more prosperous communities. Working for a company that produces such important and tangible outcomes has been immensely satisfying. Looking at case studies describing some of our project outcomes and how we have improved the lives of people in our communities is truly inspiring.

What do you love most about working from Hone Coworks?
I love the way Hone makes us feel as though we are a part of a community, versus just tenants sharing office space. I greatly appreciate the way you go above and beyond with coordinating networking events and fun holiday spotlights (such as National Chocolate Cupcake Day!) 😊

What is your favorite restaurant in Albany/Capital Region?
I am currently pregnant, so I feel like my food cravings are all over the place at the moment! I have been a vegetarian for over a decade now, so I always love trying out new restaurants focused on providing more vegan/vegetarian friendly options, such as the Troy Beer Garden.

What is one skill you would love to learn?
Many of my coworkers are bilingual, and even trilingual, and their ability to switch back and forth between languages so smoothly amazes me…I would love to be fluent in a secondary language- French, Spanish, Hindi…anything!

What is your secret talent?
I love doing home renovation projects! My father is a retired civil engineer, so I started learning the basics early on by helping him. Now I drag him into all my house projects 😊

Would you rather have all traffic lights you approach be green or never have to stand in line again?
Green traffic lights!

If you could spend a day with anyone, who would it be and why?
Ruth Bader Ginsburg…”Fight for things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you”. She is an inspirational example of someone who advocated for women’s rights and lived her beliefs.
